That’s what you are asking. After two years of incredibly bad habits, I have ballooned out to the highest weight I have ever been. I just weighed myself and looked back at the largest number I have ever seen on the scale. 311 pounds. I have tried unsuccessfully to lose some weight over the last six months or so. In fact, I have gained about 20 pounds.
I am out of breath when I do things that aren’t really that difficult. I am having back spasms for the first time in 15 years.
I just can’t take it any longer. I am making a full scale assault on my fatness. My wife and I are going somewhere warm for our 5th wedding anniversary next August and I want to be able to enjoy going shirtless.
This isn’t my first venture into weight loss. I have fought this several times throughout my life. Sometimes successfully and sometimes not so much. I will take the strategies that have been successful and use them and try to avoid things that have hurt me in the past. I will share all of my experiences with you. There will also be plenty of anecdotes about me and my life.
I realize that in all likelihood no one will be reading this in the early stages. I hope that in the future my success will capture some attention and I will gain a following. My early blogs will most likely be used for reference later on. So if you’re reading this, thanks for checking out the blog. I hope it will provide some insight and more importantly, some inspiration.
